Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo before completing his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto.
After completing his degree, he spent the last 3 years living and practicing in Calgary, Alberta. It was in Alberta where Kevin’s love for running began. Like a lot of people, he started running during Covid lockdowns due to lack of gym access. He also became very interested in hiking in the neighbouring Rocky Mountains. With the desire to push further into the mountains, he self-coached his way through a 100km ultramarathon, finishing in 17.5 hours as his first ever race. Now back home in Ontario, away from the mountains, he recently completed his first marathon in 3:18 and is looking to qualify for Boston at his next!
Kevin hasn’t always been into running. His primary activities of interest for the last 15 years have been strength training, powerlifting, and Olympic lifting. His degree in Kinesiology, experience as a personal trainer, and a decade and a half of personal experience give him an extensive background in strength and conditioning and functional exercise. He now combines these two passions, pursuing hybrid fitness goals in both weightlifting and running.
Kevin is certified in dry needling/acupuncture and has taken courses on Soft Tissue Release and manual therapy, using these techniques to help with pain and recovery from injury. He is also trained in advanced vestibular rehabilitation, assisting clients with a wide variety of dizziness and balance related conditions.
Additionally, Kevin helps runners pursue their goals not only through injury rehabilitation, but through Run Coaching as well. You can now book this with Kevin or reach out regarding any additional details.
He can be reached at kevin@therunningphysio.ca.

Kevin is our clinic’s expert in dealing with shoulder, hip, and knee injuries and has worked with athletes from various sports including baseball, rugby, soccer, basketball, and Aussie rules football. This year Kevin set a personal best in the 10k and is excited to continue his running journey with more races next year!
Kevin recently moved back home to Toronto after four years living in Melbourne, Australia, where he earned a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. Prior to that, Kevin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in film studies from Wilfrid Laurier University. Growing up, Kevin found his passion for team sports, especially baseball which he still plays today. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys playing squash, hiking, biking around the city and watching his favourite team, the Toronto Blue Jays.
After suffering a severe back injury in 2016, Kevin’s doctors recommended extensive physiotherapy. Initially sceptical, Kevin soon learned how helpful but challenging physio can be. Over time, he gained an appreciation for how physio works to heal people both physically and emotionally. As someone who has dealt with a variety of injuries, Kevin is empathetic towards the recovery process and dedicated to helping others overcome injuries and prevent new ones.
Kevin provides care that puts the patient first and he works with individuals to set meaningful goals. By utilizing exercise and hands-on techniques, Kevin helps people of all ages and fitness levels achieve their targets and return to the activities that they love.
Kevin plans to further expand his skill set as he aims to earn his accreditation in dry needling, strength and conditioning, and advanced running biomechanics.

Kelly graduated with her Master’s of Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2009. She enjoys employing a hands on, manual therapy approach to her sessions, using acupuncture and exercise prescription to round out a client’s treatment. Her love for powerlifting and functional fitness has given her specialized knowledge in incorporating body weight, barbell and dumbbell movements into rehab.
A self-proclaimed exercise fanatic, she’s tried a little bit of everything from running, cycling, yoga and many different gym class offerings.
